Yes, they can go together.  Of course, art can really go with anything, in my humble opinion. Today, Benjamin’s spelling assignment required him to proof read and correct a short article on Paul Matisse’s The Musical Fence. I had never heard of this particular sculpture, and neither had Benjamin. It fascinated us both, so we took a little side trip via the internet to check it out.

And it is really unique!  I think it would be wonderful to have something like that nearby. I found out that the sculpture actually had to be moved from its original location because people played it at all hours! I can see how the “music” might bother some people.  But how it must be for all ages!

Check it out here.

Monday is the day we drive around to all the music and riding lesson.  This Monday was a cool, rainy spring day. I love a rainy day, myself. With everything turning green, all the animals were out in the fields looking fat and happy.  I snapped a few shots of our Monday friends enjoying the peaceful, nourishing, misty weather.

I would love to have a telephoto lens to get close-ups of their faces. Cows have such interesting faces. But then I might need a job to support my photog habit….

Now this gal….I think she was trying to communicate with me.  Don’t you get that sense?

Back in the barn…this guy wants a carrot.

This is the view from the back of the barn.  Makes me want to watch an episode of All creatures Great and Small, sipping a good cup of tea while the rain soflty pitter patters outside.

Care to join me?

At least it feels that way sometimes.  But one day they will all be grown and gone.  And I will miss doing all this laundry…

Nah.

We love you Jonathan!

Now you are a  ”big boy” like your brothers.

I miss you.

28-4

I think about you every day.

40-5

And how you’ve always been taller than me even without heels, AND even though I am older.

129-6

And the fun things we could be doing together.  Like cooking.  Even though you are a vegetarian and I, well, I am not.

20-5

And how we’ve always been there for each other.  No matter what.

2543

I know you are always there for me.

52-3

And I am always here for you.

66-3

Are you coming for a visit in July?

Hugs and Kisses,

Karen
