Simple Childhood Pleasures - Experimental shots

I am just going to play wit hsome of these photos. After all, hubby took about 30.
These two shots are straight out of the camera and not over-exposed.
On this shot, you can still see the shadow of camera-man dad to the right of the photo. But without being over-exposed, the shirt on the left isn’t as washed out.
Same with this shot- shadow on the right, sunlight on the left.
This shot was cropped and intentinally overexposed to wash out the background and highlight facial features. But I don’t like it. .It’s too much. I haven’t had a chance to practice much with outdoor, sunny day shots, but I look forward to it
