It snowed a couple of days ago, so I stepped out to see what scenic shots I could capture with my camera. Plus, I absolutely love snow and we haven’t had that much this season. What we have had, however, is plenty of freezing temperatures.  As in single digits.  In the daytime.  No windchill factor included.  It was actually a balmy 12 degrees when I snapped these shots. I never knew one’s shutter could freeze up, but I do now.  Here’s how it went down.

Things started of pretty well.

But then this happened…

That is supposed to be the grape arbor with two swings. The aperture stayed open way too long and I could not ubderstand it.

And the holly bushes?!  Panic was setting in at this point. After a few more of these, I headed into the house to find the manual.  Twenty minutes and twenty shots later, the camera started acting normal again. I went outside to see if it would happen again, and it did. But I got one more shot of our sweet little kitty cat.

He didn’t stay outside long and was pretty danged ornery about it.  Doesn’t he look ornery?  He just needs love.

So that would NOT be the camera they use to take pictures of a snowy Chicago football game, right? LOL. Glad it is not broken!
